Options - File Extensions

When using the Import Files dialog box (see Importing Files - Importing all files from a folder and subfolders) to import files, you are offered the option to include or exclude certain types of file. Rapid Sitemaps uses the file extensions listed in these options to decide what type of file it is dealing with. If you find that the Import Files feature is importing types of files that you dont want, you can remove the file extension for that type of file from the relevant list. On the other hand, if it doesnt include files you want to include, ensure that the file extension is in the relevant list, and that the correct checkbox is checked in the Import Files dialog box.

Web Content Files and Dynamic Web Content files are also used by the spiders to decide whether or not to check a file for links. If your website uses an unusual file extension for its content files, enter that in the relevant list.
