Before we can start adding files to our sitemap, we need to assign it a base URL. Only pages and files from the same folder as the sitemap, or its subfolders, are allowed to be listed in a sitemap, so the base URL should be the URL of the folder where you want to save the sitemap. This would normally be the root folder of your website. You can set this value one of two ways: Create a new sitemapSelect File / New Sitemap from the menu, click CTRL-N
or click the toolbar button with this image
Load an existing sitemapSelect File / Open Sitemap from the menu, click
CTRL-O or click the toolbar button with this image

If you want to import a sitemap from your harddrive:
Select whether your file is an XML sitemap file, or a simple URL list, and click Import. Once all the files have been imported from the sitemap, select the base URL from the list, and click OK
